Most of them are fully covered in a protective material containing synthetic elements that stop the airflow and don’t let your skin breathe. That might cause skin irritations and even allergies. Our menstrual underwear contains as many natural fabrics as possible to avoid uncomfortable sensations.
Genial Day period underwear inner fabric is 100% cotton, covered with polyurethane. The protective part contains 95% TENCEL™ Modal (certified by Oeko-Tex®) and 5% elastane. Not only TENCEL™ Modal fabric is soft on the skin, but it’s also degradable and eco-friendly.
TENCEL™ Modal is wood-based, making the fabric skin-friendly, biodegradable, and fully revertible back to nature. This fabric we use for Genial Day panties is softer than cotton yet highly durable. It keeps its softness even after multiple washes and drying cycles, making it perfect for menstrual underwear.
