Are Your Pads and Tampons Toxic? You May Never Know...

As the old saying goes, "You are what you eat." So plenty of people are worried about what they introduce into their body with their meals.

Unfortunately, food is not the only source of toxins that can wreck havoc on the essential systems of your body.

Take, for example, your skin, which is the largest organ in your body, and also the thinnest. Less than one-tenth of an inch separates your body from potential toxins. Worse yet, your skin is highly permeable — especially the skin in and around the vaginal area.

In her lifetime, a woman will use over 16,000 tampons or pads. That's a lot of cotton that comes into contact with the most intimate parts of your body!

But, wait a minute, is it really all cotton?

Turns out, in most cases, we simply don't know.

Currently, there's no mandate requiring manufacturers of tampons or maxi pads disclose all ingredients in their products.

While consumers can easily read a label and find out what's in their cereal, currently there's no mandate requiring manufacturers of tampons or maxi pads disclose all ingredients in their products.

Many doctors believe that traditional pads widely available in grocery stores may contain a lot of questionable, unpleasant, and outright toxic ingredients

This is one of the main reasons why we've created Genial Day®. Our goal was to design and produce pads that contain no toxins and that simply by using them women would change the way they think about their period.

It's a very ambitious goal, but so far, over 1,000,000 (one million!) of women in Europe fell in love with our products.

Not only we disclose what's in our feminine hygiene products, we make sure that our products are certified by reputable third party labs.

All Genial Day pads and liners are dermatologically tested with no reported cases of skin irritation or increased sensitivity. More specifically, our sanitary pads have been tested for the following harmful substances: formaldehyde, heavy metals, pH value, pesticides, phthalate, chlorinated phenol, organic tin compounds, PAH,  bacteria, and fungus.

Needless to say, our eco-certified organic sanitary pads won't treat any medical conditions. So, what's the big deal? Our products won't cause any illness or disease and for women who used dread their periods due to skin irritation, constant infections, and inexplicably painful period cramping,  it's kind of a big deal.

For those who may not know, our pads, pantiliners and period underwear are now available in the U.S.
