5 Home Remedies for Endometriosis Pain Relief

5 Home Remedies for Endometriosis Pain Relief

Are you or a loved one suffering from endometriosis pain? We're sharing 5 home remedies for endometriosis pain relief you can try right now.

Endometriosis affects an estimated 10% of the female population. The most common symptoms include pain, bleeding between menstrual cycles, and stomach problems.

Treatment options include birth control and surgery, but not everyone wants to do that. There are natural ways to deal with these symptoms! Here are five things you can do to help with endometriosis pain relief.

1. Eat an Endo-Friendly Diet

What you put into your body matters!

An endo healthy diet consists of foods that don't have soy or sugar. Conventional meats and dairy products are also a no-no if you're suffering from endometriosis. Switch to organic foods, and you will immediately notice a difference.

Even if you can't afford eating organic, eating more fruits and vegetables manages the amount of estrogen in your body.

2. Exercise For Endometriosis Pain Relief

We know, it seems like any article about health issues mentions working out. Exercise is essential for endometriosis pain relief though!

Exercise increases blood flow and causes your body to release pain relieving hormones. It is also shown to decrease stress, which relieves endo symptoms.

3. Use Supplements

Omega-3 fatty acids will reduce inflammation and improve your immune system. Fish oil is the most common vitamin to increase Omega-3.

Probiotic supplements will help gastrointestinal symptoms when taken daily.

Alpha-lipoic acid and Vitamin C are great antioxidants, and vitamin C will improve your immune system.

Diindolylmethane (Dim) is very useful, as it metabolizes estrogen into a helpful form. Limited studies have shown it protects against certain cancers. It is important to note that Dim needs more time and research. Studies into this supplement are still in the early stages.

Before using any of these supplements check with a doctor or pharmacist. These items can interfere with certain medications, especially birth control.

4. Chamomile

Chamomile relieves stress and inflammation, both of which aid in endometriosis pain relief.

One of the most popular ways to get chamomile is in tea. Many of these teas are pre-made. You can also mix a teaspoon of dried chamomile into a cup of hot water and let it simmer for 10 minutes.

You can find chamomile supplements in most pharmacies if you prefer to take it in pill form.

5. Pelvic Massage

You can give yourself a pelvic massage to relieve pain and inflammation. Lie on your bed and place lavender and rosemary oil on your abdomen. Use your hands to massage these oils into your pelvic region using circular motions. If you're in a relationship, have your partner do it. This can lead to pain relief and some bonus cuddling (or more)!

A few minutes a day will provide you with endometriosis pain relief and help relax your muscles.
